Pakistan launches what they call a major offensive against the Taliban in the Swat Valley. The legislature of Hawai'i are our Jackasses Of The Week for passing a resolution calling for the celebration of "Islam Day." A mother in Minnesota wants to deprive her son of cancer treatment because that is what her religion says to do. Please explain to me why people keep inviting ministers to give prayers for non-religius events. Really. Please. Explain. Good and bad witchcraft news. Lots and Lots of your emails. I haven't actually listened to tonights show just yet but I am taking this opportunity to tell you - when I saw in the rss feed the words 'Accents are back!' I was overjoyed!
The humour is always great in your show but I have to say the accents are a constant source of joy for me and sometimes have me actually Lauging Out Loud.
Thanks for the shows and may there be many more, I have to go and listen to this now,

Your horrible, horrible accents are like ambrosia to me: I live merely for the pleasure of you lot trying to "speak Southern," and ending up sounding like.... well, no real accent found in this galaxy.

RE: Hawaii proclamation of Islam Day. Of course Islam is promoting a worldwide community - of Muslims (but you must be the right kind of Muslim). Of course Islam wants world peace - and we'll have it when the whole world is Muslim (i.e., the right kind of Muslim...)
Desertphile, you hit the nail on the head. The lack of any discernible talent to mimic an accent, even remotely, is staggering. Actually, it's sad and I was disappointed to hear that they would be re-upped. I'm really trying to stay tuned because of the news, but the accents are becoming tougher and tougher to tolerate. Ignoring the voice of those people ran off by the bad accents leads to a problem of Confirmation Bias by the host. I really enjoyed last week's accent-free show. It was by far the best to date.
