Wed, 3 June 2009  We finally try Flynn on a true Skype feed (as opposed to a Skype Out phone call, which is what we have previously done). The result--unmitigated disaster. For the first 23 or so minutes, Flynn's track is totally FUBAR. After that, it is merely awful. We may, or may not, try this experiment in the future, but for now I was not very happy with the results, but we are going to distribute the episode anyway. Child neglect in Minnesota averted. It's a shame the whole skype thing didn't work out, because I've been longing for the day to hear Flynn's voice with clarity for some time now.
Surely the problem can't be too hard to solve? It seems like it would be a hardware problem (headset/soundcard), right?
I imagine it's a problem with his sound card, so the cheapest thing to do would be to buy a cheap *USB* headset (If that's what you already bought Flynn, then I have no idea what's up).
