Thu, 6 August 2009 Interview with atheist activist Viktor Nagornyy of Atheist Alliance International. For more information on the AAI October convention, go to atheistconvention.org Comments[1] |
I object to an atheist organization holding a convention; I much more object to that convention having a "Charles Darwin" celebration--- it implies modern biology (evolution and evolutionary theory) is linked to lacking belief in the gods, which is absurd. One can accept the fact that evolution happened and happens, and one can accept evolutionary theory are being correct, and still believe in the gods: having a bunch of atheists celebrate Charles Darwin's birthday is just stupid and politically injurious to education in the USA.
