Love your show and PZ. My problem with your assessment of the Maher to-do is the fact that it is the Richard Dawkins Award not just some generic I love atheism award. I don't demand that all atheists conform to a skeptical mindset, but to win this award you are supposed to "raise public awareness of the nontheist life stance; who through writings, media, the arts, film, and/or the stage advocates increased scientific knowledge". Maher might squeak by on the issue of evolution but is an epic failure when it comes to the rest of scientific knowledge. Keep up the good work.

So the host of the podcast thinks it would be alright if a creationist won the Richard Dawkins Award, as long as the creationist made an anti-religious movie? Mahers quackery denies the same basic scientific facts.
