Wed, 14 October 2009 A defeat for Freedom Of Speech at the UN Human Rights Council as the U.S. Government sponsors a resolution to give cover to regimes that want to criminalize blasphemy. Women are forbidden from being passengers on motorcycles and scooters in Gaza. An unusual lawsuit over prayer. A city council in California wastes precious time on deciding what kinds of prayer to allow to open up city council meetings. And some really interesting emails. Comments[2] |
Good show, keep it going.
I haven't heard about the book, Authoritarianism and Polarization in American Politics. I have been reading a new book about Right-wing Authoritarians by Bob Altemeyer: The Authoritarians (http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/).
I think we need more research into the authoritarian mindset. That's where dogma hides.
